Actually, based on an annoncement
(http://www.ibmlink.ibm.com/usalets&parms=H_100-116) mentioned by a fellow
list member a few days ago, it appears at least the T20 supports OS/2:

Software Requirements: The following operating systems support the
ThinkPad T20:

OS/2® Warp Version 4 (with FixPack 11, or
later)
OS/2 Warp Version 4, Japanese (with
FixPack FX05005, or later)
                                 Windows  98 Second Edition
                                 Windows 98
                                 Windows 95
                                 Windows NT  Workstation 4.011
                                 Windows NT Workstation 4.0 Japanese11
                                 Windows 2000

Note: Previous versions of these operating systems are not supported:

                                 PC DOS 7.0
                                 Windows 3.0
                                 MS-DOS 6.0
                                 OS/2 Version 3.0
                                 Windows NT 3.51
