i recently sold my most recent 600E, so i have nothing to myopically
peer at for the FRU on the battery..
BUT, FWIW, IMO the battery will work..
my guess is as the models change, the batteries are updated so that they
work with the newest machines, yet remain backward compatible..
such things as firmware could change and generate a different p/n or fru
#, yet the battery remains functionally the same..
