I have just the opposite opinion. I like SCSI units. Although they
generally cost a little more, they have some nice advantages.

#1 Lower CPU utilization - reduces chances of coaster creation.
#2 Most work on Macs - great if you compute on both platforms.
#3 They often come with a handy SCSI card that controls other SCSI
devices.

As always, YMMV.
