At the risk of sounding sarcastic to those who questioned my good
intentions in buying an obsolete, 770z . . . MAN! This is one
obsolete machine . . . the crisp, clean 14" display, whew, pathetic,
overall looks and "real" Thinkpad performance . . . outdated
beautifully, and the ruggedness??? . . . geesh could they not have
made this thing less sturdy??? guess that's what I get with an
obsolete machine.

And the built in modem and microphone. . . with "full" duplex
speakerphone capablitliy . . . that sounds better than my high
dollar, external, USR modem on my desktop . . .plays music on hold .
. . OBSOLETE JUNK.

Oh, and a real volume control knob like those "newer up to date
machines" . . . wait a minute, that ain't supposed to be on my new
obsolete machine.

Infared on back . . . and front?? wouldn't that qualify as
obsolete???

Oh, and that sweet distinctive Thinkpad keyboard, eh, what can I say
. . .

I LOVE IT

Now . . . if I can just find the 8 track interface . . . . and
locate an obsolete Zip Drive for this thing.

ps To those who encoraged me "not" to get this model, please don't
think that this is directed at you, this is merely posted in jest out
of my satisfaction with the recent purchase of this 770. Your recent
opinons and comments are still, highly valued.
