I have some time today to play with my T20, and have some questions about
running an external monitor.
First, is is possible to have different schemes or wallpapers on each
display? Currently they both show the same wallpaper, which looks odd
since the screens are set to different resolutions.
When I am away from the external monitor, sometimes applications open into
nowhere and I have to move them over until they edge onto the LCD. I
thought if I went into the Thinkpad Configuration tool I could shut down
the external display, forcing everything onto the LCD. Sometimes it works,
sometimes not.
BTW my current video setup is as follows:
LCD: 1024x768 @ 32bit color @ 'Optimal' setting
External: 1280x1024 @ 16 bit color @ 85Hz
The external is a Sony E500 21". The image is rock solid on both screens.
For text I prefer looking at the LCD, images on the CRT.
