I was told to send this problem to this address. Someone might have some
insight or advice. The units been to ez-serve for this. When it returned
the 1st boot was normal. The next morning the 2 boot sequence started again.
I spend most of the year outside the US so I am anxious to fix any
potential problems while here.
Here's what just happened.
power on
ram check upper left corner; IBM logo upper right; Thinkpad lower left
loud beep
check A drive
ram check and logo disappear
small horizontal cursor about 2" down from top on left
screen goes blank
1 soft error beep
pause
1 soft error beep
screen goes black
pause
ram check upper left; IBM logo upper right; Thinkpad lower left
loud beep
check A drive
ram check and logo disappear
small horizontal cursor
System Commander copyright box
System Commander selection
Win 98
I've also tried it with System Commander disabled with same result.
If I exit the bios setup window with the "Restart" selection it DOES NOT
boot 2 times.
Any ideas?
