Then explain why a $350 Cambridge Soundworks systems runs circles
around the Bose. If you were a MIT student, you can buy all Bose stuff at
50% off.

It has nothing to do with audiophiles since audiophiles would
ofcourse buy something way better but even for the people on a budget, you
can do way better for the money. Also, the electronics plays a important
role as well. The Wave radio isn't bad but their speakers are another
story.

That all depends. There is not much difference between DVD
players but a Sony is better than a Marantz fyi. Then there is the $2500
Denon but that doesn't really do much better than the Sony other than the
sound. The only thing the Sony is bad at is it can't play CD-RW's which
is where the Pioneers would have the edge.

The people who use PowerDVD are just regular users. If you
noticed, SoftDVD is better than Mediametics player. But PowerDVD is the
best in terms of picture and it does have the Karaoke function and it's a
Taiwan company. Also, if you've noticed, all the players that come with
Video cards such as ATI, Matrox, etc are all based on the Cinemaster
engine. PowerDVD doesn't do audio as well as WinDVD but WinDVD is kind of
hard to buy.
