I have used partition Magic for a long time, and it has NEVER caused a problem.
Additionally, with the included Boot Magic utility, you can have up to three
primary partitions, with different OS's on each, and boot the OS of choice, or
you can reinstall one without affecting the others. I have Windows 98 on one,
Windows 2000 on a second, and a Beta of Millennium Edition on a third.
Whichever one you boot becomes "C:", and the others are invisible. Then the
rest of the drive is an extended partition, divided into "D" and "E" Logical
drives. All program installations and data files are on D, and drivers,
installable programs, etc. are on E.

I can actually reformat a primary partition, reinstall the OS, and reinstall the
drivers and programs without having to resort to CD-ROMs, downloads, etc., and
my data is unaffected. Very useful if you are travelling, and your C partition
becomes corrupted.

My 2c worth...

Richard

With this and similar comments about PM I went out yesterday
afternoon and got a copy, came in last night, converted (c:) FAT
to
FAT32 (which i really don't understand why they "ibm" did that),
then
resized the two partions with ease.

So if you're search the TP -L archives for similar information,
yes
PQ Part. Magic works extremely well (at least on my 770z 14.xGB
HDD).
