Unfortunately I've heard of some people with the same experience from
Onsale/Egghead. It seems that some of the vendors that sell through them
are less than optimum. I just received the 600E that I bought on Friday
in a sealed IBM box and the screen is perfect with no bad pixels. It's
charging the battery as I write. As always I'll run it for a few days to
check for problems. I've bough a 560, a 560X and now the 600E.

In every case - what I bought was marked as "Shipped by OnSale or now,
Egghead.com" and they all went off with a hitch.
