Hello,
I use the PCMLM56, the EtherFast 10/100 + 56K Modem PC Card. It has the
integrated connectors (actually two, a RJ11 and RJ45). The bottom of
the connector housing does not hang down below the bottom of the card.
I can put it in the top PCMCIA slot without any problems. I sometimes
run an adaptec 1460 card in the bottom slot at the same time. I hear
the modem part is a WinModem (which I generally do not like) so support
for non-Windows operating systems may be lacking. So far no problems
with the end housing breaking off. It seems to work good in the laptop.

Subject: TP Network cards Recomendations?
I need to get a NIC for my TP but not sure what to get I'm looking a the
following here in a pcConnection catalog but don't understand the
differences.
Linksys with integrated RJ45 port
EtherFast 10/100 Integrated PC Card 16bit
EtherFast 10/100 Integrated CardBus PC Card
EtherFast 10/100 PCMCIA PC Card 16bit
EtherFast 10/100 CardBus PC Card 32bit
Perhaps the last two simply don't have the integrated connection for the
RJ45. Anyway, which card is desireable? I don't have a network at home
yet, but have a couple of work locations that I need to be able to "hook up"
to. Standard MS Windows networks.
Thanks
dave
