The best glue for Thinkpad composition plastic cases is ABS/PVC solvent
adhesive (the kind used for
plumbing fitments). Silicone-based solvents (e.g., goops) will not only
eventually fail, but are
irreversible in the sense that nothing else will ever adhere to the
surface, even if you remove all
the visible glue.
