i'm totally sane and i paid $8000 + for a CDC Phoeniz 90meg hard drive.. 75meg
fixed, 15meg removeable..
it was the size of a console tv..
about 22 inches wide, 14 inches tall and 36 inches deep..
weight was about 175 pounds..

or $6000 for a CDC Hawk hard drive..
10megs..
5meg fixed and 5meg removeable..
abouty the same size as the phoenix drive..!

OR $800+ for an 8K (yes 8 kilobytes) static ram board that i hade to assemble..!
64 chips..
and you COULD actually fry eggs on it when running, unless the solder melted
first.. :-)
