I has forgotten about the heat of the 760.
I never knew of the rubber pad. In the summer when I wore shorts I
would set a towel folded to double thickness on my lap. Without the
towel the temperature was somewhat uncomfortable and my legs would
begin to sweat.
My current laptop computer is a 560X. I've never experienced any heat
problems with the 560X.
I also have a 600E. No heat problems but I find the 600E a little
heavy for extended use as a laptop computer. (The 760E was a lot
heavy, but I was younger and stronger then.)
