Yes, I too have a Type III PCMCIA HDD a Viper 170E (170Mb).
I actually was given it for nowt as it has 6Kb of Bad sectors, *BUT* works
perfectly and requires no special drivers for use in my Thinkpad 755CX or
my Toshiba Tecra !
The Thinkpad will boot from it to, when setup in EasySetup to do so. A very
useful tool for transfering data between laptops. I have 2 x 10Mb ATA Flash
cards that work equally as faultlessly. However, my 2Mb SRAM card will not
show up as a drive letter on my ThinkPad, not matter what settings, drivers
(DOS and Win) I add...?? A shame, as I have a DOS palmtop that uses the
SRAM card and it would be good to be able to tranfer to and from that.
Cheers
Mark
