No problems getting the parallel cable to my desktop for sharing files,
but I am not succeeding in using the printer on my desktop, from the
laptop. I have enable sharing files and printers, but I am not finding the
way to tell the laptop to send to the printer on the other end of the
parallel cable. The port works okay directly to the printer, but has no
idea that there is one on the desktop connection.
Is there something obvious I am forgetting to do. Until I get a PCMCIA
card for networking, the parallel cable with have to do, if I can get to
the printer :)
Thanks for any ideas, and for the help with my hard drive. I have asked
Bill at Thinkpads.com to let me know which of his 4 to 6 gig devices will
work in my 760E 9546 U4A.
I know my way around the desktop PC, but laptops are a whole new game. I
look forward to learning it. :)
Regards from Utah,
John
