I'll definitely second the vote for Pegasus (http://www.pmail.com) --
it's very flexible (though, like Mitchell, I'm MS-bound at work, I use
Pegasus for my own account on my own PC when it's booted NT5). About
the only thing missing is the gaggle of vulnerabilities that come from
having a scripting language embedded in your _mail client_ <ggg>.
Eudora, I found, wasn't great at managing more than one email account.
Pegasus is super in that sense. And Pegasus is free (as in beer <g>).

I can't resist: I'm stuck at an office that
is beholden to the MS credo, which means I'm reading
this list with Outlook.

Pegasus and Eudora haven't shown up in this totally
non-Thinkpad related thread. Pegasus isn't bad.
