I don't think this is an entirely reasonable reaction; if I'm thinking of
the right person, Jon has in the past posted deals he has
stumbled across at various places. His choice of subject line - a favorite
of spammers - was unfortunate,
and his neglect of "where" was at best a serious goof, but I don't think he
is actually selling anything himself.
I think he should be thanked - not excoriated - for trying to share with
this list any genuine laptop deals he finds,
though perhaps a bit less enthusiasm and a bit more information would be
appropriate.
