My girlfriend's 760ED is acting up. The video has red fringes. It sort
of resembles when a conventional monitor has convergence problems. It
is not fixed to any certain screen position and it looks like a line of
red pixels shows up in places where black touches other colors. Anyone
seen this before? Is the video card going bad?
She said it's done it before after the machine has heated up, but now
it's doing it all the time.
The 760ED comes awful close to getting hot enough on the bottom to burn
flesh, even WITH the foam pad on the bottom. I'm thinking about
replacing it with a 560 or 560E since the 560 I used to have, and the
560X I have now, run fairly cool. The bottom barely gets lukewarm even
after been in use all day. Not to mention the 560 series is half the
weight and half the thickness.
