I have this monitor, and while the large dot pitch means close-up text at
high resolutions
(greater than XGA) is less than crisp, it is great for presentations or if
working from a couple of feet away.
IBM auctions these at Egghead every so often; I got mine there for $260
including shipping to Hawaii.
However, there are some other vendors who sell the same monitor on Egghead,
and play games with shipping costs and warrantees, so check carefully or
just follow Jon's advice and order from IBM (who has been selling them at
this price
when in stock for at least 2 months, BTW, and occasionally has the
tighter-dot-pitch P201 or P202 for just a bit more;
full inventory on refurbed IBM equipment, including laptops, is updated
daily at http://commerce-03.www.ibm.com/icc/retail.PDF).
