Hi,

(I may have recently posted about this, but I don't remember a good
answer, so...)

I recently bought a 600X and it's working great. One program suggested I
buy more RAM, so I bought a 128MB part from Micron.

While it was on the way, a friend said he had a 64MB piece I could have.
Unfortunately, this 64MB part gave me the error code for unsupported RAM.
I went to the manufacturer's web site and found the part to be a 64MB
100MHz SDRAM SO-DIMM, which is exactly what the 600X manual says I need.

The 128MB part works perfectly, but I'm still puzzled.

The 64MB part worked in an Apple PowerBook, so it's probably still good.

Can anyone explain why the part might not work in a ThinkPad?

Perhaps the voltage requirements are different?

Many thanks,
Chris
