Too bad you didn't get a pcmcia CD, Linux is very good these days with pcmcia
devices.

Since Linux seems to be able to handle parallel ZIP drives without a problem,
likely you'll eventually be able to get your CD working as well. You might try
a full web search on the terms "Linux" and "brand-name-of-the-cd-here", as most
of the linux howtos and mini-howtos are well indexed on most web search
engines.
