IR Synching a Palm Vx To a TP600X

Hi Folks,
I've been trying to download Outlook data from my TP600X running Win2000
into a Palm Vx using the Infrared capability but the Palm V is crashing,
requiring a reset each time. Has anyone succeeded in doing this and if so
could you provide a step-by-step and/or info on both the TP and the PAlm
HotSynch Manager config settings?
