It may come to that. I _finally_ got PM5 ERU disks to boot after making the
THIRD set as I was getting a "Media Error" message from the first two sets.
When I check the drive I get the message that the C: drive was improperly
dismounted and I should run CHKDSK/F from an NT boot. I'd be very happy to do
that, but I don't HAVE an NT bootdisk. The PM Dr. Dos utilities all work
_except_ CHKDSK, which says drive not ready for C:.
The ideal solution would enable me to recover some files from the HD but, in the
extreme, I would go with a HEXEDIT to kill the partition and start afresh. Too
bad Lost & Found doesn't work on NTFS drives. :-(
Of course, this _has_ to be the weekend my wife is without her 600 running NT4!
Thanks for all the help so far.
James
