Some of the product oriented magazine reviews have been giving the new
Thinkpads a lower rating based on comparative speeds in processing and
hard drives... The Dell Inspiron and a couple of others get much
higher ratings for "price for performance." I consider the Dell a good
company, but I think the Inspiron is too fragile.
I will stick to IBM because of their comparative ruggedness, their
long warrantee, and very long parts availability... but I am curious
as to whether you people lucky enough to get the A21 or other "21"
machines find their performance up to your expectations.
