I had no problem to add a 18 GB drive in my 560x but the 560e may not
accept drives as big as the ones you have in mind. People in the know
should be able to give you a more definite answer.
As to instructions about the physical part of the upgrade, you will find
them on thinkpads.com. There are many screws to unscrew!
