Presently a key DOS application I use (WordStar 7) displays
in VGA mode. The program can display at 1024x768 VESA mode
104h (16 color). However, selecting this driver results in a
mutilated display. I infer from exchanges on the WordStar
newsgroup that the 600E is expecting to be driven in mode
105h (256 color).
How can I determine the capabilities of the hardware e.g. to
determine whether it is capable of mode 104h, and if so how
can I select mode 104h? I welcome the answer and/or
pointers to where this is all documented. I love this
machine and want to get to know it better but am going mad
looking at the jaggies in "Page Preview" mode.
