I don't remember any problems with the sound chip under redhat 6.2 but...

I installed RH7 and when I run sndconfig and select the CS4232 card the
playback of MP3's
is choppy with a very bad reverb in it as well.

Anyone running RH7 or maybe 6.2 on a 770ED?

What does the module.conf look like?

I have :

alias sound-slot-0 cs4232
options sound dmabuf=1
alias midi op13
options op13 io=0x388
options cs4232 io=0x530 irq=5 dma=1 dma2=0 mpuio=0x330 mpuirq=9 synthirq=5
synthio=220

If I select the Soundblaster card the mp3's are fine but Realplayer doesn't
work...
