They should take care of it... they did mine... But be sure it isn't
just a gummed up key from coffee, soda, food, or dirt. If they find
it isn't really defective, but dirty, you get hit for about $80
including shipping. If they find it is a defective key, they replace
the entire keyboard.
The problem you describe is a common one with various Thinkpad
keyboards... one of the most flimsy components... luckily they are
easy and relatively inexpensive to repair.
