You are treading on thin ice, Sashka.

Using a BIOS from another machine is very risky. It may not
work at all, even to the point of not allowing you to get your
machine working again without a trip to service. Also, IBM service
might not even work on the machine if it has been modified.

The issue is that the 600e and 600x have different chips for most
of the internal functions. The controllers for memory and all I/O
devices might all be different.

You are the expert at this point. I cannot recall anyone who has
done this successfully reporting to this list.
