Hello,

Let's say. If IBM doesn't know that CPU could be upgraded (they just
told me, that CPU is SOLDERED on the board ;-) then.. what should I
say.
Error message is not in my manual. Error number 127 is not there. I
called IBM. They also doesn't know what is this error means. So far, I
think it is "Hey! What is that cpu you put in me? I don't know it,
but.. I will try to use it :)"

What kind of money? I think my notebook is under warranty. So why
should I worry about new motherboard? but, you know, I will ask few my
friends if they can find 600x board for me. It will fit my 600e just
perfect.

Btw, for last few weeks I upgraded so many notebooks (all of them of
cause weren't upgradable ;-), so I could see if there is possibility
to upgrade CPU or not. I'm sure, if I will take any 2645-4au 600e it
can be used with Pentium III 500 mhz (it has support for coppermine
cpu's also, and 100mhz bus)...
