        I'd love to see any evidence that IBM is selling this as an
upgrade. I see no evidence they sell it at all, but I would expect
them to see it as a replacement part for a defective unit if they were
selling it; in other words, to swap with the bad one in a 600X, not to
upgrade a 600 or 600E. They've never claimed that the 600 series is
CPU upgradeable, and likely won't. I know a company that offered
laptops that were user-upgradeable, and they're out of business. One
of their tech staff confided that it was a support nightmare.
