I recently gave my brother a 701C, and as an extra bonus (at no
extra charge!) an extra but dead 701 NiMH battery. He tried to
dismantle ("crack") the battery case, but did not succeed. Is
there a secret?
The cells inside (or at least the one near the connectors)
seems to be leaking / corroding. He'd like to get the battery
open to see if cell replacement should be attempted.
