You need to use the ThinkPad 750 battery with the internal microprocessor on
the 755 series. I encountered the same problem on my 755C when I got it,
which meant I had to take my 750 out of service (and replaced it with a 360
so I could use the battery).
You might be able to get the battery to charge when the machine is powered
off, but it
will not charge when the machine is on, and it won't show battery status.
