Hey folks,
Like many here, I've been a loyal thinkpad user for a long time; after
deciding that my old IBM Personal Computer AT simply had to go (dinosaur
hung around a little while) I enjoyed a 755cse for a while and now for a
short time a 380ed. Both very enjoyable and reliable machines, and
wonderful to write papers on (I'm a Junior at Notre Dame).
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might get hold of a recovery cd
for a 380XD? I'm looking into replacing my 380ed w/ a 380XD for the added
processing power and larger hard drive. The unit I'm getting though is an
ex-hospital unit, and they removed and destroyed the hard drive for
security purposes. As a result I'll most likely get the machine for under
$400 and pick up a new travelstar 6gn for cheap on eBay; however I'd really
like to get hold of a restore cd in order to have the unit (virtually) in
like-new condition.
Thanks for any help and cost estimates people might be able to give.
Pax Dei,
Nathaniel Hannan
