Probably as a direct result of Big Blue's release of the X series laptops, the
bottom has absolutely fallen from under the former "thin and light" forerunner,
the 570E.

The 6AU (PIII 500MHz), 64MB RAM, 12.0GB, 13.3 TFT, 56K(Int), Win98) is selling
NIB for $1799.99 at www.onvia.com.

There are similar deals on 570's from other merchants, as well as offerings on
the A20M and A20P as low as $1549 NIB for a 262821U A20M (PIII 500 MHz, 64MB
RAM, 6.0GB, 12.1 TFT 800x600, 24x-10x CD-ROM, Modem, Win98) from
www.shop4digital.com.

These are some dirt cheap prices for PIII 500s, especially considering both of
these systems were selling for multiples of their current prices just a few
months ago.

Now if the same price flu would only infect the PIII 650MHz 600X!!

Regards,

James
