Been running OS/2 on a 760ED for weeks now with no problems. I use the
hybernate feature every day.
Tonight, I turn it on and up pops the hybernate screen, the white one,
with the progress bar on the top. Usually it will show progress and I am
running in a minute. Not anymore. It just sits there and shows nothing in
the progress bar. Its just hung there forever. I can't turn the machine
off, as it just beeps when I try. The only way to shut it off is to pull
out the battery. I did this, put it back in, and the splash screen
returns. FWIW, the center led under the display is just flashing away. I
tried booting to a floppy, but it won't even go there, just pops up the
white screen.
Power on with F1 held down gets me a screen that says STOP and Cancel.
Not a lot of choices there.
I refuse to install again, so do I have any option short of the garbage
can?
Much obliged for any advice.
John
