Linux on a 600X - solved?

Thanks to Dejanews I figured out what was going on. There's a small
concensus that there is "something" wrong with lilo in 7.0. I don't
know if that is true or not, but the lilo.conf that my install created
had the line "linear" in it. The only place during installation where
"linear" was mentioned was in having to do with SCSI disk (which, of
course, I don't have any of). Someone replaced that line with
"lba32". Poof! It works! And I even get a nice graphical,
advertisement-infested (RedHat) "chooser" to select which OS I want to
boot into. You get about a half a second to decide. :-)

What is lba32?
