[tp600x] floppy problem

My tp600x running WinMe has problems with the floppy drive when it is in the
Ultrabay. When I try to format a floppy, it reports about 400k of bad
sectors.

It reads and writes fine otherwise. When using the floppy drive externally,
I can format, read and write with no problems.

I downloaded the latest ultrabay drive utility; and I have no other problems
with the OS.

Any suggestions?
