How timely - I have a copy of W8SE on order, will likely be doing exactly the
same thing when I get the time (still trying to tame the new combo card),
likely next week.
Esmail, I managed to get my 8-20X IBM running off a DOS floppy for my initial
W95 install
(as you know, the hard part is getting the 560X's cardbus up and running) ,
however we cleaned house
recently so it will take a bit of poking around to find the disk. I will look
tomorrow if you like, and send
you the appropriate files if I find it. (Or, you could come out to Hawaii and
we could work on this together:-)
BTW, I'm thinking of controlling the install with 98LITE, to keep the installed
OS lean and lively (see http://www.98lite.net , note the 'net' instead of
'com') - anyone have any experience with this on Thinkpads? Rumpor has it that
it misbehaves with some hardware devices.
