56W vs. 72W A/C adapter

I'd like to buy a couple of extra A/C adapters for my TP560X, TP570 and
TP600. Given that I plan to buy a T2x at some stage in the future and that
the 72W adapter is actually slightly cheaper than the 56W, would it be
safe and advisable to buy 72W adapters for use with the 560X/570/600?

I don't hold a degree in electrical engineering and I'm confused by the
contradictory statements I see floating around regarding power adapters. I
seem to have read it's safe to use an adapter with a higher wattage than
what the device is rated for (eg. 72W adapter with TP570), but not the
other way round (eg. 56W with T21). I've also read statements to the
opposite.
