I'm happy to confirm that fact. One of the few off campus benefits as an
undergraduate engineering student at Stevens many years ago when the earth and I
were young, was the work co-op program with UL in Hoboken.
We got to test things to FAILURE! Usually accompanied by large volumes of
billowing smoke, frequently seen flames and even, when we were particularly
enthused, loud explosions!
Best part of the whole deal? They PAID us to do this! ;-)
