Ooh, while I no longer have a 701, I thought of a good answer for this one.
The 701 is a perfect "backup device":
small form factor (so you can carry it conveniently from machine to machine),
easily swappable drives (for
unlimited backup capabilities), and the relatively slow speed and small screen
won't be as big an issue
for the one single task of backup file transfer (since the bottleneck here is
mainly the disk speed) as it would for regular use.
Of course, to be an effective backup device the drive needs to be at least as
large as and machine being backed up!
