you can buy onew of these from IBM for $30..
i charge $39.. no sales tax..

that HDD with the bad clusters appears to have had it..
have you tried DFT.. there is a link on my web site..

if you can't find one, let me know.. :-)

on another subject, there is an old russian saying.. "i can't afford the
cheap stuff" this refers to vodka, of course.. but it applies to life in
general..
we have both been in the same place.. try to save time and $$ and wind up
spending MUCH more of both..
