I don't know what happened. I sent a message on Monday. It's not in my
outbox or sent items.

I reformatted the 6.4gig drive in my TP600 at 6gig. I reloaded the files I
had previously saved in my desktop. Then I booted up in the TP. Everything
went perfectly. No errors, LBA or clusters, in Scandisk. It is now working
in win98. Your and several others gave advice that was right on, thanks. I
lost 0.4gig by formating in my desktop. Live and learn.
