This is one of the first things that I do after
installing any version of Windows. (Except on my
Thinkpad, which has VM turned off. :) ) I typically
make the sawp file 2x physical RAM. It works for me
anyway... I have yet to see out of memory errors or
any other problems. And it does keep the swap file
from being fragmented as mentioned before. Putting it
on another drive (on a seperate controller,
preferably) does seem to speed things up, but it's
hard to do that on most laptops...
