I think we're talking about two different warranties. There's the warranty
of the seller, and the warranty of the manufacturer, just like with OEM's.
Your hometown computer maker may back something for 90 days, but after he
wants nothing to do with it the maker may still back it for a year or two.

I'll agree that they're not a firesale, but they're an excellent drive at a
"good" price. As to the warranty, unless the folks on Pricewatch are IBM
certified resellers (and I doubt if _any_ of the low dollar ones are)
there's no
3YR warranty on the drives, regardless of what the seller might say.
