730T/TE field case batteries

Has anyone tried to figure out how to get the batteries in the 730T/TE field
case [big-ol sampsonite suitcase customized by IBM] to power their 730, and
not just the printer and modem? Bit of a bummer not to be able to use a pair
of huge honkin' 53G9166 batteries to power your machine when you're away from
the juice.
