The W2K system recovery disk that came with this desktop (a Micron, BTW)
didn't give me the option of choosing
my system directory (which frankly surprised me). Of course, there are lots
of other ways to do a restore, I just like the
idea of using Linux to do it. (I usually use the relatively small Peanut
Linux distribution, which can live on the same FAT32
partition as Windows, and was annoyed to find out that I couldn't install it
on the new machine as I have on my others,
only because I formatted ntfs.)
