The part number you refer to holds one 9.5 mm hdd. No extra adapter
necessary. Fits right in the UltraBay, (cd/dvd is replaced when this is
installed).
Bought mine online from IBM, and paid $29.95 if memory serves. Worth every
cent. Don't know if the 600E bios will recognize over 18Gig. If not IBM's
disk manager software can be used to install a dynamic drive overlay to get
the bios to see the drive. Sounds like a really good deal on that 20G
Travelstar.
