nope. i don't trust win98 anyway, so everything gets saved multiple places.

well, i turned it off while it was running, so i don't doubt that's what
screwed it up. i don't know, though, why it went to scandisk originally
(but that's moot right now anyway).

i'll have to see if norton will recognize the drive before i can hope for
